| How EFT Works Every negative emotion we experience, including depression, anger, frustration, stress, grief, guilt, anxiety, fear, etc. is a result of a blockage somewhere in the body’s energy system. This energy is carried by the body's meridian system through tiny pathways, much as arteries and vessels carry the body’s blood. When that energy is blocked or disrupted by a traumatic or unpleasant event (like being beaten as a child, being scared by a spider, or being humiliated by the teacher in third grade) we then feel a negative emotion – like anger, fear or embarrassment. There’s another step in the equation, however. If someone insults you, for example, the end result would most likely be anger. But what actually happens first is that the insult causes a disruption somewhere in your body’s energy pathways. It’s that disruption that causes the negative emotion of anger...not the insult itself. Then when we think of that event again we re-experience the emotion. This causes us to believe it is the event or the thought of the event that causes the emotion but in reality there’s a "middle man" we never knew about before that's the real villain in the equation. It's the disruption of our energy that causes the negative emotion. So rather than just the cause and affect of insult = anger, it's actually insult + energy disruption = anger. Thinking of the event reactivates the disruption and the subsequent negative emotions. When our blood vessels are broken we bleed. And when our energy system is "broken" or disrupted we experience a negative emotion. This is something we didn't realize until about 25 years ago (although knowledge of the meridian system is thousands of years old). If this equation is true (and we've found that it is), then the logical conclusion is that if we can dissipate the energy disruption, the resulting negative emotion will be eliminated as well. And that’s just what happens when the blockage is removed using EFT. Unlike acupressure, you simply tap or touch very lightly on specific meridian points, mostly on the upper body and face, sending small shock waves or soothing pulses throughout the meridian system. By performing this systematic stimulating or tapping of the meridian points, (about 15 in all), while addressing a specific problem, the emotional issue gradually disappears. This simple process balances and re-energizes the system, often in a matter of minutes, clearing blockages and dissipating the negative emotions as you do so. After learning how to use EFT you will be able to apply it to yourself to dissipate many of life's emotional and physical challenges such as anger, frustration, stress, anxiety, fear, grief, chronic pain, and more. But here's the thing....you can read about EFT until the cows come home, but you can't possibly comprehend the power of this extraordinary process until you’ve experienced it yourself. That's what I'm here for. Give me a call and we can get you started right away. It only takes a few minutes to learn the basics and to start reaping the benefits of this amazing tool which could change your life. |
